Surging Forward on a Legacy of Electric
The Guadalupe Valley Electric Cooperative (GVEC) was founded in 1938 with the promise of powering rural Texas. Our innovating founders—all local farmers themselves—cooperated as a group to serve and fulfill an urgent need for electric power in their rural community.
They were determined to bring electricity to both themselves and their neighbors. All these decades later, we’ve expanded to serve 3,500 square miles of territory, covering 13 South Central Texas counties. And although the delivery of electricity remains our core focus to members, we’ve long since expanded “beyond the meter” to include Internet and AC/heating services, along with solar sales and services to the general public.
In October 2017, we took another step beyond the meter by launching GVEC Electrician Services as part of GVEC.
Today, not only can GVEC provide all-in-one solar solutions, but we can also offer the community access to professional electricians who understand respect for people, property and quality work.
And remember: As with everything GVEC Electrician Services offers, we promise to deliver our Electrician services in a professional, ethical and affordable way, always striving to exceed your expectations.
